"Tree-Woman with Purple Boa Spreads her Arms Wide"

Broderick, 16" x 30"

I was on my way to Kane County Flea Market one weekend in search of paintings, but before hitting the highway I stopped in Logan Square to pick up some friends who were joining me for the trip. While driving the 1/2 mile or so towards the highway, we happened to pass a grungy looking resale shop overflowing with "junque". I happened to catch 3 or 4 canvases hidden behind an old stove out of the corner of my eye and I couldn't resist stopping. Although Kane County was a bust that day, I was richly rewarded from my short stop, resulting in the acquisition of this monstrosity, the previous masterpiece ("Man in Wolfskin..."), and the "Turtle" painting for the staggering price of $4.00. This piece does abolutely nothing for me, but I bought the three as a set, so a set they will stay.
