This piece is so shocking that I keep it hidden behind a door. A viewer can only gaze in wonder at the large gobs of white paint used to give "texture" to the ballet costume, the face of the ballerina so crudely painted as to resemble a farm animal, and the large, out-of-place brown shadow dominating the foreground. Needless to say, this painting is quite special to me.
